How to Use Jumper Buddy
Jumper Buddy is designed to be simple enough for every driver in your family to use. For their safety, store one in each family member's car. If they're ever stranded with a dead battery, they'll no longer have to rely on strangers to help jump start their vehicle, or wait for a professional to arrive.
INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR YOUR SAFETY - PLEASE FOLLOW!
- Connect the RED CLAMP to the positive post on your vehicle's battery.
- Connect the BLACK CLAMP to the negative post on your vehicle's battery.
- Slide your M18 Battery Pack into the Jumper Buddy.
- Allow your Jumper Buddy to charge your battery for approximately 1 minute and then start your vehicle.
- After vehicle starts, remove the M18 Battery Pack from the Jumper Buddy BEFORE disconnecting the clamps from the vehicle battery posts.
Vehicle batteries that have been drained completely for longer than a day may be more difficult to charge - often it can be done, but with CAUTION. Connect Jumper Buddy to the vehicle battery for approximately 3 minutes. If vehicle will not crank to start, quickly touch the red safety box on the RED Jumper Buddy cable to determine if it is HOT to the touch. If so, disconnect the M18 Battery Pack from the Jumper Buddy followed by removing the clamps from the vehicle battery. Let Jumper Buddy cool for 20 minutes. Try again by following the instructions above starting with step 1.
When charging drained vehicle batteries, if you crank the engine repeatedly for an extended period the red safety box on the Jumper Buddy may melt and lose its conductivity. This is a SAFETY FEATURE, and indicates that your Jumper Buddy is being overloaded.
